Analysis of effective factors in the improvement of the border areas of Iran and Afghanistan from a geopolitical point of view

Abstract

In the last two centuries, Iran's borders have been the arena of conflicts, ups and downs, and many territorial tides, which resulted in the period of stability of the first Pahlavi and the modernity of the objective concepts of politics, such as the border, of the current land of Iran. Iran and Afghanistan have a common border of about 945 kilometers, which extends from the mouth of Zulfiqar to Malik Siah Kouh. Many external and internal factors influence the border areas of the two countries. The issue that is investigated in this research is the investigation of these factors and effects that should be paid attention to in the border areas of these two countries. In this research, we are trying to answer the question of what are the external and internal factors affecting the border areas of Iran and Afghanistan with the library and analytical method. According to the findings of the research, many factors such as illegal immigration, drugs, terrorism and the presence of Western powers are influential in this matter.
