Approaches to spatial planning are changing as societies become more complex. Such transformations are reflected in the ever-increasing diversity of activity and mobility patterns of individuals, households, groups, institutions and organizations. In this way, while some concepts, such as "distance" and "movement" lose their importance relatively in developed network societies, new concepts, such as time and space-time, gain importance. This collection has a prominent position in modern regional studies, it requires new approaches to various structural-functional aspects of regions. Structural-functional survey, as a strategic approach to the organization of space at different levels and scales, in the form of modern social geography, tries to explain the complex aspects of spatial organization in less developed societies, for issues rooted in their structural-functional relationships. find a solution This article, in the form of a comparative study, tries to explore the effectiveness of this approach in regional studies.
