Strategic position of Takab tourism industry and its development strategies

Abstract
Planners and development policymakers mention tourism as the main pillar of development in different countries. Today, tourism can create employment, increase income and ultimately prosperity and improve the livelihoods of the people. This research, which aims to determine the strategic position of the tourism industry in Takab and prioritization of development strategies, is an applied research and Delphi descriptive research method. The model used in the study is the strategic management comprehensive model, and have been used SWOT techniques to determine strategies and QSPM matrix to prioritize selected strategies. The research data collected and analyzed in the 4-step of the questionnaire, by using the Delphi technique, the 16 experts, officials and managers of tourism in Takab city. The results of internal and external factor evaluation of city`s tourism industry showed that the relative weakness of the city`s tourism industry and is not responsive to external factors. Also, turned out after the identification and prioritization of strategies by QSPM matrix that creating websites to marketing of city`s tourism attractions has the highest priority between selected strategies.
