Abstract

One of the main tasks of governments in better administration of the territory under their rule is to monitor the flow of social affairs and control the behavior of citizens within the framework of the law. Managing and organizing social life in the current era due to the complexity of various political, security, etc. processes in geographical environments, including big cities, is a very exhausting task and requires the use of efficient methods and tools in this field. . Of course, all governments use all the necessary facilities and tools to meet the various needs of their citizens, including the security of urban environments; But despite this, there are always spaces that are outside of their supervision and control despite the efforts of the governments. In such spaces, which are considered to be holes of the government, a large amount of hidden and visible crimes and insecurities occur, which disrupt the natural flow of social affairs. The question that exists in this regard is how to increase the amount of government supervision and control in these spaces? In response to the above question, in this article, an attempt has been made to investigate the effects of using smart monitoring and control tools (CCTV cameras) in reducing urban violations and crimes, and how to increase the efficiency of governments in controlling urban processes. take The current research was carried out in a descriptive and analytical method based on field data, so for analysis and conclusions, in addition to library and electronic sources, questionnaire findings were also used. It should be mentioned that the validity of the questionnaire questions was tested using the factor analysis method and the reliability of the questionnaire questions was tested through Cronbach''s alpha coefficient. Finally, the data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed through the mean test of a population (T-test). The results of the investigations of this article show that the use of smart monitoring systems in urban environments has a significant role in reducing crimes and social insecurity.
