Many issues and problems such as the issue of air pollution, heavy traffic and waste of time in the streets, increase in administrative and commercial activities of citizens in cities, increase in population and inadequacy of facilities and services, etc. The increasing demand of citizens to provide desirable and high-quality services, and from the slogans and policies of city managers and governments on the focus of sustainable urban development, decision-making and planning based on modern technology and techniques in urban management is not only inevitable , but has made it necessary and entering the world of electronic city is a logical and suitable answer to this urban need. One of the most widely used and central needs of urban electronic services is banking services, which, with the electronicization of its activities, has an important contribution to sustainable urban development. For this purpose, this study was investigated and researched in the metropolis of Karaj. The research method is descriptive and analytical, and it has been carried out using the method of library studies and field research using questionnaires. The results of the research, which were conducted by testing the hypotheses using One sample T test and Spearman's correlation, show that electronic banking has played an important role in the realization of sustainable urban development, and in this regard, citizens are its main beneficiaries. It has a direct impact on this category, and in fact, it is not possible to achieve the desired goals without the participation of citizens.
