This quarterly has publication license number 911/7/124 dated 05/28/2003 from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and according to the letter number 11/3/1727 of the Publications Commission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, this quarterly has scientific-research validity.

The refereeing of the articles is double-blind and the access to the articles of this journal is free and provides the possibility of quick refereeing and publication of articles in all fields of geographical studies. This magazine publishes articles quarterly. The publication of articles has been started since 2003 by the Geographical Society of Iran and its articles are indexed in a reliable database.
