Abstract

In the area of Ray Industrial City, located in the south of Tehran, oil activities have caused aquifer pollution, so that the thickness of light petroleum compounds (LNAPL) on the surface of the underground water reaches more than 20 meters in some parts. In this regard, it is very necessary to determine the spatial changes of LNAPL thickness, density and viscosity in order to understand the quality of petroleum materials in the aquifer.
According to the measurement results in 10 wells of the studied area, the thickness of LNAPL in the studied aquifer is between 2.73 and 14.305 meters, the relative density of LNAPL is between 0.78 and 0.83, and the viscosity is between 0.60 It varies up to 1.91 centistokes. The largest amount of LNAPL thickness is in the eastern and northeastern part of the studied area.
