Abstract

The current study deals with the impact and importance of knowing urban geomorphology in connection with the occurrence of landslide hazards and the collapse of excavation walls in civil structures in Mashhad metropolis. The data includes geotechnical parameters and underground water level and settlement and collapse points. The tools used include 1:25000 and 1:2000 urban and topographical maps of Mashhad, as well as satellite images (MMS), (TM) and (+ETM) related to the years 1353, 1359, and 1390 and aerial photographs of 1342, which are used Using GIS, SPSS, Excel and Matlab software, multivariable linear regression modeling and artificial neural network were performed and the risk zoning map of subsidence was extracted in five levels. The maps show that the central part of the city, which geomorphologically corresponds to the alluvial plain, and the southwestern part of the city, where geomorphologically, the landforms of the headland, the Efkeneh, the mountains, and the fault are placed next to each other in a very complex way, are the highest They have the possibility of danger, and the northwest and west parts are suitable for physical development with a very low risk probability.
