Creative city and indicators of Iranian creative city

Abstract

The concept of a creative city is derived from the attention of theorists and researchers in this field to the environmental and spatial dimension of creativity. To measure the creativity of cities, various indicators have been presented, all of which pay attention to the characteristics and conditions of society. The basis of the aim of the research is to build indicators of the creative city in accordance with the culture of the Iranian society. According to the nature and method of answering the problem, this research is descriptive, analytical and content analysis, and it is practical in terms of purpose. In this research, library, documentary and survey methods in the form of Delphi method were used to collect data. In this regard, by reviewing 15 international creative city indicators, a list of indicators has been extracted, then with the Delphi method and creating a Delphi panel, the indicators have been screened and the Iranian creative city index has been created. The result of the Delphi results in three rounds was the production of 49 indicators for the Iranian creative city index by the panel members, of which 32 indicators were taken from previous researches and 17 indicators were presented by the panel members.
