Evaluation of the formation of community-oriented tourism in the rural areas of Golestan province

Abstract

Community-oriented tourism has been formed as one of the types of post-Fordian tourism due to the need to pay attention to the sustainability and development of local communities in the process of tourism in rural destinations. This type of tourism considers cultural, social and environmental sustainability and is managed and owned by the local community, and its purpose is to make tourism useful for the local community and to enable visitors to increase their knowledge and awareness about the community and its methods. Life is in it. Therefore, community-oriented tourism can have a suitable function in the development of local communities with tourism capabilities, especially in rural areas. According to these features, community-oriented tourism can be useful in the development of tourism in Golestan province, because the dominant aspect of tourism in Golestan province is based on the spatial pattern of rural tourism. For this purpose, in this article, using strategic evaluation, the capabilities of community-oriented tourism formation in Golestan province have been investigated. The statistical population of this research is about 80 tourism experts who were questioned in the form of a researcher-made questionnaire and Delphi technique. The results of this research show a conservative (stable) macro-strategy in relation to the formation of community-oriented tourism, which factor analysis of the results of the indicators, the priority of economic indicators and then people's participation in the formation and development of community-oriented tourism in Golestan province shows.
