Tehran is one of the 10 undeveloped metropolises among the 124 existing metropolises in the world, with many problems such as air pollution, noise pollution, water pollution, traffic problems, lack of housing, loss and destruction of the environment and existing biodiversity, vulnerability It faces unexpected natural events such as earthquakes, landslides, floods, lack of services, per capita, urban facilities and equipment, poverty and abnormality, etc.
Creating evaluation indicators and using an effective method in order to achieve the goal of sustainable development is one of the basic and essential needs of today's cities in Iran. Among the regions of Tehran municipality, regions 1, 2 and 14 have a favorable situation compared to other regions based on the selected indicators.
