Abstract

The 21st century is the century of cities, because now more than half of the world's people live in cities, on this basis,
most experts in social sciences and humanities believe that the fate of mankind today and in the future is determined in
cities.National power as a geopolitical concept reflects the characteristics of individuals of a nation and at the same
time it is manifested as an individual attribute in relation to a country and a government.

The people who have formed a nation that has found a political organization in the form of a country have a power that
is obtained from the result of their combined forces and it can be considered the national power of that country or nation.
National countries are effective countries that, as command centers of the global economy and vital centers of the flow
of goods, people and ideas, can generate power and create opportunities to advance their country's points of view,
policies, goals and programs at the regional and global level.

The findings of the research show that considering the current state of national power of countries and the number of cities
that have high ranks in the process of globalization, it can be seen that there is a direct relationship between
globalization and the development and transnational policies of countries and the emergence of global cities.
And to the extent that a country has a position and role in economy, politics, security and international and global
culture, the cities of that country enter the world arena in the same proportion.
