The role of international political economy in changing the governance structures of the Middle East with an emphasis on Iran's energy position

The Middle East is one of the geographical areas that has been called the world's energy storehouse in the field of energy (oil and gas), and therefore it has to deal with the opportunities and threats emanating from these vital materials whether it wants to or not. This statement means the presence of actors affecting international politics and political economy and their efforts to stabilize a form of political structures that are in line with their wishes in the region, and this condition actually means that the existence of independent sovereignty in these structures is impaired. . In this regard, to analyze such a situation, the theory of interdependence as a form of neoliberal thought was used as a theoretical basis, and for a better understanding of the problem, after presenting the ecology of the region, in the next step, the category of oil and its place in the world economy was examined, and then From the mention of parts of America's position as an influential player of the international system regarding this strategic material to the influence of this vital material and the policy of powerful actors of the international system on the change of political regimes in Iran, it has been emphasized more. At the end of the data analysis, in line with the purpose of the research, which was collected by the documentary (library) method of foreign and domestic sources, it has been concluded that the change and stabilization of the geopolitical structures of the Middle East due to the asymmetric dimension of governance depends on the interests of powerful countries. It is tied and this situation will be more complicated in the future with the presence of new players from East and South Asia and their competition with former players.
