Abstract

One of the goals of critical geopolitics is the analysis of statecraft or foreign policy. The geopolitical code as a set of strategic assumptions based on which a government regulates its foreign policy with other countries is one of the examples of geopolitical reasoning and can be investigated as a product of practical geopolitical reasoning which is one of the areas of critical geopolitical research. . The study of critical geopolitics has been useful in revealing the arguments and assumptions of policymakers and building geopolitical codes that serve as the basis and justification for foreign policy actions. This concept has a close relationship with the concept of geopolitical insight, which is rooted in critical geopolitics and can be understood in the context of social space.
The present research, as an article extracted from a doctoral dissertation, while dealing with critical geopolitics and its fields of study, examines the two concepts of code and geopolitical insight as important reasoning actions in critical geopolitics and finally presents an analytical framework for practical geopolitical reasoning in line with the political process.
