In rural areas, with the emergence of functional structural limitations based on economic and social activities, rural residents migrate to urban settlements to obtain better economic opportunities and well-being. The present research, with the aim of analyzing the role of social and economic factors in rural-to-urban migration, is descriptive-analytical in nature and practical in terms of targeting. The statistical population of the research is 373 households living in the villages of Nur Ali Bey district, which were selected through regular cluster sampling and using the two-dimensional matrix of distance, socio-economic status and Morgan's table (sample community in 16 rural settlements).
In order to determine the validity through the judgment of the expert community by applying the basic quantitative analysis of the fit test of the collected data and the questionnaire tool; And the reliability of the measurement tool was determined by Cronbach's alpha method, and the value of alpha (by testing 30 prototypes) was 0.732 for the economic index and 0.900 for the socio-cultural index. Statistical data analysis using statistical systems and Kalmogorov Smirnov tests for the normality of variables, binomial test to determine the importance of each item and Friedman's variance analysis test to prioritize factors.
The results of the research findings indicate that; Among the economic index items affecting the migration of villagers, the highest economic index is dedicated to employment and the lowest is related to the mechanization index of the agricultural sector. In the socio-cultural index, the most important factor in sending immigrants is proper residence and the need to progress and gain social status, and the lowest is the lack of health and treatment facilities. Finally, in order to adjust the amount of emigration in the research area, by strengthening the relative advantage of the rural economy and establishing relations and connecting the settlement system with the city of Saveh at the local and regional scale, the foundations of the settlement network model for the sustainability of urban rural settlements should be established.
