One of the most important ideas that has been proposed in both crisis management and urban management in the current decade is to create resilient cities that are resistant to various crises. The main purpose of this study is to assess resilience in Farahzad neighborhood of Tehran. A questionnaire technique was used to assess resilience in social, economic and institutional-managerial dimensions and field studies and GIS software were used to assess resilience in the physical sector. This study is based on the assumption that institutional and social capacities in resilience in the region. Farahzad have a great role and also the optimal pattern of resilience can be achieved in Farahzad region for more resilience in this region. The results of this study indicate that in the field of social resilience in Farahzad neighborhood, the index of social willingness to participate with an average of 3.94 is in the first place. The index of social ties with neighbors with an average of 3.82 is in second place and the index of ability to adapt to turmoil and stress with an average of 3.64 is in third place. Indicators of participation in decision-making and the level of participation in resolving the crisis are in the fourth and fifth ranks with averages of 3.55 and 3.46, respectively. Local perceptions of risk are ranked sixth with an average of 3.15 and crisis knowledge and awareness are ranked seventh with an average of 2.95. It can be said that the view that has existed so far in accident management and urban management has been more confrontational and risk reduction view and the total average of social resilience in the study neighborhood is equal to 3.50, which can be said that the rate of social resilience in Farahzad neighborhood is in the middle level.
