In this article, the relationship between precipitation and the thickness of the lower layer of the atmosphere is investigated. The studied area is located between latitudes (32.5 to 37) degrees north in the Zagros mountains in the middle west of Iran. The study was carried out during the statistical period (1991-2010), and two years of high rainfall and two years of low rainfall were selected, and in those years, for the above months, there were widespread rainy days in the region, from low to 5 mm, average 5 to 10 mm, and more. It was chosen from 10 mm. By examining the anomaly of the average thickness of the atmosphere over Iran during the statistical period (1991-2010), it was concluded that in the mid-western region of Iran, the average annual thickness of the atmosphere has increased by about 1.5 geopotential meters. Then the thickness of the layer (850-1000), temperature and specific humidity of the surface of 700 hectopascals on the day of rain and two days before it were investigated. The obtained results indicate that there is no same relationship between precipitation and the thickness of the lower layer of Wardspahr in different months of the year. From the 20 cases of investigation of the thickness of the lower layer of Vardspehr on selected rainy days in the mid-western region of Iran during the statistical period (1991-2010), it was found that in 11 cases the thickness (850-1000) decreased on the rainy day and in 7 cases There has been an increase in thickness. In 2 cases, there was no change in the thickness of the lower layer of Vardspahr and the thickness in that layer remained constant. The amount of changes in the thickness of the atmosphere in the lower layer of the Verdspehr does not follow the same trend in all types of precipitation, and the manner of changes and its amount have varied in different months. Also, the relationship between precipitation and the thickness of the atmosphere in the lower layer of the Verdspehr in different seasons of the year does not follow a specific trend and is subject to more complex conditions.
