The use of natural geography undoubtedly provides some necessary elements to respond to the predictable effects of climate change and society's intervention in the environment in general. However, applied natural geography should not be reduced to an educational discipline with a purely technical capacity and based on experience or modeling.
John Tricar (J. Tricar), who is one of the expert experts in natural geography and especially geomorphology, basically does not agree with the division of sciences into basic and applied. In a methodical research, different scientific data are mixed together in order to finally achieve a new and operational combined approach. Undoubtedly, oriented application in natural geography is different from theoretical research because the applied approach directs the scientific method to concrete solutions. It is also clear that theoretical geography is general through the combination of data and multidisciplinary methods and the processing of the obtained information, it is an exception, because in this type of research, the processing of statistical data, models, (simulatian) help to complete the rules. does At the same time, the validity of conceivable solutions and proposed situations should be controllable. In the application, there is also the delicate issue of relationships that connect the executive, the decision maker and the society. In this field, the issues that are often raised in the course of action and implementation sometimes weaken the role of the actor and his neutrality. In this situation, the executive must have such a goal-seeking attitude that acceptable solutions can be resolved in the maze of different expectations in the technical, financial and even political fields.
