The downward trend of the economy of the villages, the widespread migration of villagers to the cities, the spread of poverty and unemployment, the lack of food security, the marginalization of the majority of the rural population, and other such things show that the country's villages are in an unstable economic situation. . Therefore, evaluation is a tool that enables decision makers and policy makers to take appropriate actions to stabilize society as much as possible. The purpose of sustainability assessment is to ensure the optimal contribution of plans and activities to sustainable development. This research aims to understand the economic sustainability of rural settlements in Razvanshahr city, and seeks to identify regional economic differences in the field of economic sustainability indicators with documentary and field methods. The research indicators have been classified in the dimensions of poverty alleviation, vulnerability reduction, diversification, efficiency and productivity, and the indicators have been analyzed using Shannon's entropy weighting technique and Prescott Allen's economic evaluation table. The results of this research showed that first, the villages that are located in a suitable natural location and in the plain type have a higher economic stability coefficient. Then, Ardajan village has the highest coefficient of 0.66% and Ardeh village has the lowest level of sustainability with 0.36%. Finally, for the economic sustainability of the rural settlements of the city, this research presents the approach of livelihood diversification with emphasis on domestic jobs, tourism, second cultivation and conversion and complementary industries.
