Today, the importance of citizenship rights is such that they consider its existence as one of the most important requirements and elements of democracy. The transition from military, autocratic and totalitarian regimes with repressive, authoritarian and intolerance policies to democratic governance methods has revealed the necessity of paying deep attention to citizen's rights. Therefore, the investigation of citizen's rights in urban governance can reveal important aspects of the quality of distribution of democracy in the urban space. The current research has tried to examine the four indicators of "accountability", "transparency", "decentness" and "legalism" in the political management of Tehran metropolis, to determine the dimensions of citizen rights in Tehran Municipality as the most important management and governance institution. This city should be explored. The current research, in terms of its nature, is fundamental and applied, and in terms of its method, it is descriptive in-depth (survey). The sample number of citizens according to the number of the statistical population was done based on the Cochran formula and 113 citizens of the 6th district of Tehran Municipality were questioned based on the cluster sampling method as a sample with a questionnaire. The results of this research show that the level of citizens' satisfaction with citizenship rights has dropped significantly based on research indicators, and overall, the "legalism" index is in a more favorable situation than the other three indicators.
